The Legacy Staunton chess set has remarkable deco appeal! Just as The Sultan is curvaceous, the Legacy Staunton is as linear! With the pawns being the only exception, all of the other chess pieces contain straight lines with sharps edges giving it a great point of view with a strong presence like that of the Arabian. The knight wears a fine mane with alert ears, widely spaced eyes, and has exceptional facial accuracy. This thing of beauty is befitting for those with style and smooth transitioning on the chess board! Every chess piece is highly detailed and commendable. Just look at the queens low profile crenellation, the bishop’s neatly trimmed mitre, and the rook’s deep cutting at all six points. It is no surprise the Legacy Staunton is one of the new up and comers in Chess Forma's line up. The complete chess set comes with a pair of extra queens with leather bottoms. The king is 4 ½ inches tall, has a base diameter of 1 ¾ inches, and is triple weighted. It is available in either bud rosewood or ebony wood. We highly recommend a chess board with 2.25 inch squares. The pictures you see can not do enough justice. The set looks much better in person. You have to see it to believe it!
