Sheesham wood or sometimes referred to as “golden rosewood” has a golden hue and texture similar to that of teakwood but is harder and more durable! Although sheesham is the most economical choice in our chess range, their qualities are outstanding! Sheesham has a neutral color which makes it very flexible for mismatching chessmen with different colored chess boards. The heartwood of the sheesham tree contains its best qualities having colors ranging from golden to dark brown. All of Chess Forma’s sheesham chessmen are crafted from this grade!
