Ebonized Chessmen

All of Chess Forma’s ebonized wooden chessmen are stained from boxwood. Boxwood is the popular choice for many of the white pieces in today’s black stained chessmen. It’s a very dense and fine grained wood which makes it the preferred choice for the polishing process. Ebonized chess pieces are jet-black in appearance and have been a highly accepted alternative for chess pieces made from real ebony!
